5 Van Life Workout Must Haves

Working out is an important part of life, even when living in a van. There are clever ways and workout items one can get to keep in their tiny home without taking up much space or adding much weight.

Here are the 5 van life workout ‘must have’ items that we live by!

#1 - Yoga Mat

First and foremost you will want a yoga mat. They can fold away fairly compact and it’s such a wonderful thing to have while living on the road because of the ever changing scenery you’ll be able to do your morning stretches/yoga session at.

#2 - Multi-weight Kettlebell

This multi-weight kettlebell has been one of the best decision we’ve made when it comes to our workout equipment. We love it because it eliminates having to figure out where to store multiple heavy weights. It’s just not practical to carry a regular weight set in your tiny van home. We simply keep ours between the two front seats so it’s easy to grab when working out on the go.

#3 - Resistance Bands

Resistance bands are so great because they take up essentially no room and have zero weight. Yet they surprisingly can increase the difficulty to any regular workout.

#4 - Jump Rope

If you’re wondering the best and quickest way to get your heart rate it, it’s through jump roping. We love the jump rope because it stores away nice and compact and after sitting in the car for a long 6 hour drive, we can bust this out and immediately get the blood flowing.

#5 - Running Shoes

If you’re living on the road it’s a good idea to get a good pair of walking/running shoes regardless. So this is an awesome workout item because it should be something you already have with you! I can’t run because of a foot condition however Sunny goes for a daily run and loves that the world is his running track.
