Healthy/Guilt-Free Fall Foods

Spring and summer were the perfect seasons to be active outdoors. But, now that fall has rolled in, change hasn't only happened in terms of the temperature.. Peoples' behaviors also change because of the colder weather.
We're getting into the holiday mood where we want to be cozy indoors, especially as the winter season nears. With the change in our habits also comes the change in how we eat. During colder seasons, we tend to eat more junk food or eat whatever it is that's available inside the fridge.
That doesn't have to happen if you have simple recipes that you can easily and quickly whip up when you are hungry. Today, we're sharing easy and healthy-ish, guilt-free fall foods Sunny and I love to make:
Butternut Squash Soup

This creamy and thick soup is so easy to do and it only takes about 10mins. You only need a few ingredients, some may already be in your kitchen plus butternut squash which is the star of the recipe. All you do is cook the ingredients together with vegetable broth. Once cooked, put everything in a blender and blend until smooth.
It's the best comfort food especially in fall weather. Serve hot with some crusty bread!

Easy Crockpot Gluten-free Chili
Another 10-min recipe is this Crockpot Chili that's Gluten-free. In a crockpot, combine all the ingredients together (the main one is ground beef or you can substitute with a vegan option), then you set your heat to low for about 7 to 8 hours. When your chili is ready, you can top it with dairy-free cheddar or whatever you want!

Fall Harvest Salad

A salad with fall ingredients is a must for us. It's best to take advantage of seasonal fruits and vegetables while they're fresh and available. This particular recipe also has butternut squash, which we love, wild rice, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and apple cider to name a few.

Sticky Cinnamon Roll Baked Oatmeal

Although this oatmeal recipe requires a little bit of baking, it's one of the best-tasting gluten-free, wholesome, and vegan breakfasts you can try. You can even make it as a snack or a dessert. You're looking at around 35-40mins of prep time.

Pumpkin Spice Waffles (Vegan, Gluten-Free)

Since pumpkin is plentiful this time of the year, you might as well try to add pumpkin to your fall repertoire. This recipe can be another breakfast or snack item. You'll love the flavors of this pumpkin spice waffle! Instead of the usual butter, top it off with some honey or pure maple syrup for a fantastic and filling breakfast.
