Van Life Holiday Decor Ideas

The truth is, I was hesitant decorating for the holidays this season. Since we live in a van, we live in a tiny space so I am naturally hesitant to add anything in our little home. But after the majority of our followers voted for us to do it, I took a quick trip to Target and am so happy we ended up decorating for the holidays!

Here are some simple van life holiday decor tips that will make a big difference in your little home!

BLANKETS

Because the bed is one of the biggest parts of a van lifer’s home, adding a colorful throw blanket is one of the simplest ways to make a big difference in the overall aesthetic. We have a big red throw blanket to add a pop of color and a white fuzzy faux fur HEATED blanket underneath! We highly recommend getting a heated blanket for the winter season. It’s one of our biggest hacks to stay warm.

PILLOWS

Adding one to two festive throw pillows will transform your tiny space and who doesn’t love a few extra pillows to cozy up with? Here are some of our favorite from target, we recommend throwing one in with words:

LIGHTS

The quickest and easiest way to brighten up your space is to add some lights. There are a variety to choose from ranging from colored to regular and small twinkle lights to big bulbs. Here are some to choose from you can’t go wrong with:

EXTRAS

The little extras make all the difference. It’s important to add some greenery, so fake (or real) garland is a must! Add a scented candle and you’ll warm up your space instantly!

What I learned through this process is you really don’t need much to make a big difference in a small space. It only takes a few items to drastically spruce & cozy up your home and we would recommend it over again as it truly adds a special, happy feeling to end the year!
